The Travel Channel's Man vs. Food is hosted by Adam Richman, a New Yorker with a background of working in a host of different types of restaurants during his career. And even though he was never professionally trained to work in a restaurant, Richman picked up a lot of valuable knowledge of the internal workings of a restaurant from working the front counter to working in the kitchen.
Man vs. Food is Richman's quest to find the biggest, best and most unique foods of what a region or metro area has to offer. While I think Richman's shtick is a bit over the top, ala Guy Fieri from the Food Network, he does visit some interesting places to find the biggest sandwiches, the best barbecue and the most interesting food that is unique to a given area.
The following clip is Richman's visit to my favorite burger joint in the whole world, Duffy's Cherry Cricket in Denver (see map). You can read my earlier entries on Duffy's here, here and here. And you can read my list of my Top Ten Burger Places here, where I proclaim Duffy's No. 1 out of all the burger joints I've visited. The four and a half minute clip was just recently on Man vs. Food when Richman visited Denver last year. I hope your stomach doesn't start to rumble when you watch it!
