Every time I go to Milwaukee, I have to make a trip over to the south side of town and stop in at Discount Liquors on W. Oklahoma (see map).
Discount Liquors is a great liquor store with a great selection of beers from Wisconsin and other micro-breweries around the Midwest. They have an adequate wine department and they have a decent liquor selection.
But the key to this place is the price - I can buy Capital Brewery products for a dollar or two cheaper than what I can get them in Iowa. They have cases of Wisconsin Point Special beer in bottles for $10.99 - six packs in Iowa are $4.99. Old Style 18 pack bottles for $7.99. Special Export 12 pack bottles for $6.99. You can't get Old Style or Special Export in bottles in Iowa, period. And they have good prices on Leinenkugel beer, but they are sporadic as to the flavors they carry.
It's always a $50 dollar bill when I go to Discount Liquor. The place is kind of cramped, but that's only because they have a huge selection to choose from.
