Watching the very enjoyable MythBusters on the Discovery Channel recently reminded me of something that was sent my way by a friend last summer via YouTube. It's an unaired version of MythBusters in which the age old question is asked as to whether or not pretty girls actually pass gas.
MythBusters, if you're not familiar with the program, is hosted by Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman (right), two longtime special-effects engineers in the movie and television field who tackle a number of urban myths to see if they could possibly happen.
Some of these myths include whether or not there are huge slingshots that can propel Mexicans 200 feet over the border and have them land on mattresses strategically placed on the American side; spontaneous trouser combustion, primarily with farmers; and whether or not yawning is contagious. These guys really have a lot of fun when it comes to their little experiments.
"Pretty Girls Don't Fart" is a five-minute video that was shot in an auditorium and distributed on YouTube. In the video, the guys enlist their pretty assistant Kari Byron (left) to debunk the myth that pretty girls don't break wind. The extremes they went through to see if the myth is true is pretty funny. And, for obvious reasons, this segment never made it to television. And as far as I can find, this is the only video that exists on the segment.
But it's funny. If you haven't seen it before, click on the arrow and enjoy!
That is just frigging hilarious!
