I'm pretty much done with physical therapy, although I may go back for a couple sessions later in the month of June. I'm now down 43 pounds officially and thinking of joining a workout facility here in the Quads to do the elliptical and some stationary biking. Getting back on the road will be pretty interesting. Since I haven't traveled in nearly three months, my first night on the road was a good indicator of how much I forgot with my ritual of packing leading up to my leaving. Oh, yeah. I left some things at home that I normally take with me. But it was only for one night, so I was fine. That's sort of what I wanted to do - have a one or two day trip with an overnight stay that would help me sort of get back into the groove of travel. I'm going to be doing a lot of traveling in the coming weeks, especially now that the weather is starting to be nice. We've had a cool, wet spring, so far. A lot of the flowers and plants that would be beginning to bloom and grow have been stunted and are behind by a couple three weeks. We lost at least one rose bush over the winter and possibly two (we still have to determine if one that was cut back by a rabbit will survive). But the window boxes are starting to grow, some of the rose bushes are ready to open, and we're starting to dry out in the back berm area. OK, back to work! Which means more observations from the road and more restaurants and attractions to find! I'm pretty much ready to get back on the road again after my two hip replacement surgeries. Last week, I traveled to Madison for a dinner meeting and some morning training the next day. While I'm still a little stiff when I get out of the car, I'm able to walk it off rather quickly.
