Long time State Fair fixture Bill Riley has been at the Iowa State Fair in one capacity or another for 60 years. Riley is best known for his "Bill Riley Talent Searches" which have been held in towns and cities all across the state of Iowa for 47 years.
Riley's State Fair talent search competition is now run by his son, Bill Jr. Riley, who turned 86 this year, is immortalized in a butter statue by Duffy Lyon.
