Matt

Only commenting here because I was jonesing for one so I googled it. Nice to see 2 Mit represented online in some way! Just an FYI...2 Mit is German. "Mit" is German for "with". My family is from Elkader and we've known the owners forever. I remember when I was little (I'm 38 now) that the 2 Mit stand used to be about a half block from where it is now, sandwiched in an alley behind the old church (which is now a B&B). Look at the little man on the placard. He's wearing lederhosen and tyroler hat...nothing more Bavarian than that. Also, the burgers are the star of the show, but you're missing out if you don't try the Brats now and then. They're awesome. (or at least they used to be...as long as they're still from the butcher across the street from where 2 Mit used to be in the alley, but I think that place closed long ago). Anyway, thanks for the post!

We have traveled 75 miles one way for a two mitt burger for years now. We love the sauce they provided. And we go several times through out
the season and look forward always to the next season.
